Finally! Here are some pictures of our neighborhood -- one might almost say of our yard. These are both in Kensington Gardens.This one is of the Italian Gardens, which are at the northwest tip of the Long Water in Hyde Park, or in Kensignton Gardens, whichever. (The boundary seems blurry to us.) It's about a quarter-mile from our apartment. An easy stroll.
The next picture is of a small (less than an acre, probably) garden on the
grounds of Kensington Palace. This one is about the same distance from our place. It's peaceful, secluded, and nicely tended.That gives you an idea of the kind of territory we hike through to get to a Tube station or a museum.
