This is a lake called Ennerdale Water. This scene is very representative of the beauty of the Lake District. Later in our vacation we've met a lot of American tourists, but here in the Lakes we met more British people than Americans. This is where the British come to vacation.

This is a somewhat telephoto shot of Lake Grasmere. William Wordsworth grew up in this area and as a young man lived in Grasmere. He loved to hike the hills around here, so what you're seeing is certainly a scene Wordsworth also gazed at some 200 years ago.
